The Thermo-Tec Adhesive Backed Heat Barrier protects parts and components from radiant heat. It can be used in applications to protect painted surfaces, plastic parts or any component from the damaging effects of radiant heat. Adhesive Backed Heat Barrier is made up of woven silica with a flexible aluminized finish. The highly reflective surface of the material is capable of withstanding radiant temperatures up to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. The adhesive backed side handles direct and continuous temperatures up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. The adhesive backed composite construction material can easily be applied to any surface or wrapped around a hose or wire to make a clean professional appearance.

This heat shield cloth, has a high quality finish compared to other heat shield insulating mats. In addition it weighs 40 percent less than comparable aluminized fiberglass cloth products. When used in applications when there is 1″ of airspace and air flow, Thermaflect Cloth is capable of reflecting 90 percent of radiant heat. Face the aluminized side toward the source of radiant heat to shield heat away. This product withstands 1100F of radiant heat (requires minimum of 1″ of airspace) and up to 450 degree F of direct heat. The DEI Form-A-Shield is made from 10mil dimpled aluminum with a 1/4″ high temperature basalt insulation and can withstand direct temps to +1400 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s a high temperature version of Floor & Tunnel Shield II. The Basalt based woven fabric insulator can be applied directly to hot surfaces. It molds easily to exhaust manifolds, pipes and mufflers and provides outstanding performance in reflecting and blocking heat. Easily trimmed to size, Form-A-Shield is excellent to use as a heat barrier for transmissions near hot exhausts.
